Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.
You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.
Working 11 PAs in our dedicated Ophthalmology Treatment Centre, it is expected that you will become fully involved in all aspects of the work of the Ophthalmic Department including involvement in its organisation. This will be under the supervision of the Department and will continue at a progressively increasing level of responsibility as agreed by the Ophthalmic Consultants. This post is available from as soon as possible and will include a weekend and out of hours on-call commitment.
Working in partnership with the MoD, we have an integrated military and civilian workforce. With 7 Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist, 7 Specialty Doctors, 1 Research fellow , 2 StR3+, 2 Speciality Trainee posts at ST1 and 2, and 1 FY2, you’d also be supported by a dedicated and enthusiastic nursing team incorporating many extended roles.
We’re also proud to be one of the leaders in ophthalmic research and are working with a number of partners. With access to superb facilities including a clinical trials unit which runs commercial and non-commercial trials, there will also be an opportunity to develop your area of special interest.
If you’re comfortable working as part of an innovative and enthusiastic team, then you will thrive at Frimley.
