Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire  - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.

You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.

Would you like to develop a Dietetic career in Gastroenterology? A vacancy has arisen in our well established Dietetic team within Frimley Park Hospital for a Band 6 Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, active team player with good communication skills, who enjoys working in a busy, acute environment.

You will have a great opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in acute Gastroenterology- including IBD, Anorexia Nervosa, liver disease and nutrition support. Outpatient clinics run twice monthly where typical patients have IBD, IBS, FODMAP diets plus nutrition support. You will attend the IBD and Gastroenterology MDTs and continue to develop the Dietitians role. You will be key to the development or review of Trust guidelines and policies related to your role, in conjunction with the Gastroenterology team, Endoscopy Nurses, IBD Specialist Nurses and the Dietetic Team.

We are looking for either an experienced Band 5 Dietitian who is keen to develop their skills in gastroenterology or a Band 6 who has some existing Gastroenterology experience.

Further responsibilities will include involvement in the pre-registration training of dietitians (A,B and C placement). We also have a training commitment to other healthcare professionals e.g. medical and nursing staff  which will provide the opportunity to develop excellent teaching and presentation skills.

We are a progressive service which actively contributes to the Trust’s and the national clinical governance agenda and have an established clinical audit and programme.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and has clinical supervision systems in place. You will have access to internal and external training programmes.   Frimley Health is an Investors in People organisation and as a department we are fully committed to these values for our staff members.
