Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire  - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.

You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen at Frimley Health Foundation Trust following a review of the senior midwifery structure. We are seeking to recruit a Consultant Midwife to work at the Frimley Park Hospital site.

This is a key role within the senior midwifery team and we are seeking candidates who are clinically credible and highly motivated with strength of character and tact to challenge others effectively and credibly. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to influence others and manage change.

Individuals must demonstrate a passion for normal midwifery and the public health agenda. There is an expectation to work collaboratively with the Consultant Midwife at the Wexham Park Hospital site and to support the maternity services at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in the implementation of the national agenda

The role will include working within the Frimley Health Care Local Maternity System and will take on a key role in the development of new pathways for women and ways of working for the midwifery team to facilitate the implementation of Better Births.

You must be a practising Midwife, who will provide positive clinical leadership by acting as a role model and resource within the midwifery team.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with medical staff, Midwives, Nurses Midwifery & Nursing Students and other professionals both internally and externally to the organisation that influence maternity care.
