Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.
You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.
Interventional radiology is an ever expanding specialty offering the newest most up to date technologies within modern medicine.
The Radiology Nurse is an integral part of the interventional multidisciplinary care team. Their main role is to provide excellent care for patients who attend for diagnostic or therapeutic treatments. The unique and varied nature of the specialty means that there is always something new and interesting to learn.
This will be an excellent opportunity for a nurse who wishes to be involved in challenging and interesting procedures across all specialities and will be encouraged to take on extended nursing roles.
In addition to general nursing duties, you will assist radiographers and consultant radiologists in the many and varied radiological procedures, the success of which are dependent upon the knowledge and assistance of a highly skilled nurse. Such procedures include interventional techniques such as insertion of stents and filters, thrombolysis and ultrasound/CT guided biopsies.
We are looking for a team member who is flexible and confident in their clinical knowledge to work with our team.
Post registration experience working within an acute area, x-ray, theatre or recovery is beneficial although not essential as full training will be given to the right person who joins our team.
You will be required to participate in out of hours on- call services which would commence after an appropriate period of in house training and orientation.
