Frimley Park NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest acute Trusts in the South East with exceptional performances being recognised by the healthcare commission as “excellent” for service delivery and resource management, as well as achieving the new NHS LA level 3 and Foundation status.
Required from 6 August 2018, for a period of 12 months, this post would suit someone who has successfully completed their FY2 programme, awaiting an ST1/2 training position or above, giving good Otolaryngology experience.
The Department of ENT has 4 full-time consultants (one military) and 1 part-time consultant, covering the whole range of sub-specialty interests. As well as the usual general workload there are specialist otology, rhinology, voice, allergy and head and neck clinics. The non-consultant staff complement includes one associate specialist, 2 registrars and 4 SHO grades. The department prides itself on its friendly and inclusive work philosophy, with regular meetings and teaching sessions.
While this post is not recognised by the Deanery, it will provide high quality training in ENT, with opportunities to take an active part in monthly audit sessions. Trust posts at Frimley Park have access to Study Leave and funding via the Post Graduate Education Centre to assist with continuing professional development.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
