Senior OT – Emergency Medicine / Acute Frailty Static Post



Full time – 37.5 hours


Frimley Park Hospital is opening a new acute Frailty Unit which has provided an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance our well established Emergency Medicine service to include frailty.


We are looking for a Senior OT with in an interest in emergency medicine/ acute frailty to provide specialist OT assessment whilst working across Accident and Emergency (A&E), Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Acute Frailty. The role aims to ensure all patients receive a specialty review as early as possible, enabling resources to be deployed to facilitate admission avoidance or reduced length of stay. Patients identified in A&E will be admitted and provided with rapid assessments and recommendations for discharge.


The post would suit an enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapist looking to work in a challenging and dynamic fast pace service. They will aim to ensure all patients receive a specialty review as part of a multidisciplinary comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) as early as possible. A flexible working approach is essential and the post holder needs to be able to undertake weekend working as we run a seven day service.
