Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire  - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.

You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.

We are currently recruiting for an enthustiatic and motivated Band 7 paediatric ward manger, to join our team at Frimley Park Hospital which is part of the Frimley Health Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an integrated children’s service providing care to children and their families in the acute setting. The Children’s Unit offers a wide range of experience in caring for children and young people with medical, surgical, orthopedic and oncology conditions. In addition to the inpatient department, paediatric care is supported within a children’s assessment unit, day surgery unit and outpatient department.

We are looking to appoint a well-organised, motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team. As a senior nurse the position requires a dynamic forward thinking nurse to help further develop the nursing team, in providing ongoing high quality care to children, young people and their families.

As an individual you will be required to have excellent organisational, and communication skills alongside effective leadership and management qualities. Whilst previous experience is welcome, training and ongoing development would be positively supported by the Trust. As Ward Manager you will support the ward day to day responsiblities leading the team clinically.

Staff development is an integral part of the role and is supported by the practice development lead for the ward.

You will be joining a team of nurses from the Trust in taking forward the nursing vision and Trust values in developing services and working towards directorate/Trust objectives.
