Stroke Services across Surrey are changing and Frimley Park Hospital has been recognised as one of three units providing Hyper Acute Stroke Care in Surrey. As a result we will now provide stroke care to the communities Frimley Health serves in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire. Frimley Park Hospital have a 12 bedded Hyper Acute Stroke unit and a 16 bedded Acute stroke unit.

Frimley Park Hospital has a well-deserved reputation for good quality stroke care and we have consistently achieved excellent outcomes for our patients. We have been recognised as providing one of the best stroke services in Surrey (SSNAP Organisational and Clinical Audits rating ‘A’). Stroke is a strategic priority for the Trust as we believe our patients deserve the very best.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative professional to complement the current team of four Stroke coordinators to help us continue to deliver a high performing service 24/7. The successful applicant will work alongside our extensive multidisciplinary team and will have close links with neuroradiology. Our thrombectomy provider is St George’s University Hospital, London and we are their largest external referrer for thrombectomy. The successful applicant will participate in referral and transfer of patients to St George’s hospital. The post holder will contribute to all aspects of stroke care including ED, hyper-acute, acute, rehabilitation, TIA clinics and GP referrals. We also having a growing research portfolio and encourage applicants with an interest in research and education.
