Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire  - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.

You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.

BSPS is one of the largest pathology networks in the country; our vision is to provide a safe and responsive pathology service through innovation and efficiency.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking leader to join our dynamic Blood Sciences team, to further develop our service based at Wexham Hospital.

The successful candidate will have experience in Biochemistry and will work in partnership with clinical leads and the management team. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering one of the hub Blood Sciences departments. You will work collaboratively within our network, continuously improving quality and productivity whilst supporting staff in the achievement of agreed performance standards.

Reporting into our management structure, the excellence of your knowledge and skills will be the cornerstone of this role. However, the key to your success will be in your ability to manage, motivate and bring out the very best in our experienced and talented team of Biomedical Scientists.  Accordingly, your interpersonal skills must be of the highest order, and we will be looking for evidence to support this.

The successful applicant will be based at Wexham Park Hospital but travel to the other sites in the Berkshire Surrey Pathology Network will be required at times.
