Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire  - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.

You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.

We have an exciting opportunity for 3 Junior Clinical Fellows to join our trust at Wexham Park Hospital. We are proud to announce that the Emergency Department at Wexham Park Hospital has received an ‘Outstanding’ accreditation from the recent CQC Inspections.

You will need to have a minimum of 6-12 months UK Emergency Medicine experience, and have one Advanced Life Support Certificate.

Frimley Health is a leading innovative NHS foundation Trust serving a population of over 800,000 people with a catchment area across six counties. The Trust has three main sites with FrimleyParkHospital, WexhamParkHospital at Slough and HeatherwoodHospital at Ascot. It also runs diagnostic and outpatient services from Aldershot, Farnham, Fleet, Bracknell, Gerrards Cross, Maidenhead and Windsor.
The Trust was formed by the acquisition of Heatherwood and WexhamPark by FrimleyPark. FrimleyPark was the first Trust in the country to be rated as ‘Outstanding’ overall by England’s Chief Inspector of Hospitals in September 2014. Our vision for the enlarged organisation is to further improve the high quality service and patient care we deliver across all sites. FrimleyPark was named hospital of the year for the South of England in 2013. Heatherwood and WexhamPark was awarded a CHKS Top 40 Hospital Awards for the past seven years.
We provide opportunities and training for staff to develop within their chosen fields. In the annual staff survey FrimleyPark was rated in the top 20% of acute Trusts by its staff in a number of areas including job satisfaction and motivation. We believe in investing in our staff and understand that staff satisfaction is inextricably linked to patient satisfaction. We also believe that it is important that we recruit staff who subscribe to our values as they are at the heart of everything we do. These are committed to excellence, working together and facing the future. The values reflect the commitment we make to the people who use our services and to each other.
These are progressive and exciting times for our Emergency Department. A hoped-for partnership with FrimleyParkHospital happened on 1st October and there has been a period of change in Secondary Care provision in neighbouring South Bucks. The existing Emergency Department has been enlarged and refurbished in the past year.
Our Emergency Department is located on the WexhamParkHospital site in Slough, and is forward-thinking and friendly, with a strong seamless team working ethic. We treat in excess of 110,000 patients per year (of which 25% are children) with a range of conditions, and are part of the Thames Valley Trauma Network.
In that our workload has increased rapidly, we are now looking to recruit new doctors at all levels.
Applications are invited for Junior Clinical Fellows in Emergency Medicine based at WexhamParkHospital, to commence for 1 year, in the first instance.
The appointee at junior clinical fellow grade will have training or experience relevant to this post and will join the junior tier, working a full shift system. ACCS and Emergency Medicine higher trainees in the Oxford region rotate through the department.
Whilst working in the department, they will be encouraged to take an active part in departmental training. We have successfully supported previous JCFs to secure ACCS training posts
