Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.
You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.
Have you always wanted to be part of a dynamic, supportive and forward thinking team? Are you looking forward to achieving the work-life balance you have always dreamed of whilst delivering high quality patient care? Come and join the team of Emergency Medicine Consultants at Wexham Park Hospital and achieve just that. Our department was rated Outstanding by the CQC in October 2015, won accolades from the Trust Board for our teamwork and from NHS England for our FFT Initiative. Our department is highly valued by its service users and something we are all very proud of.
We are currently in the final building stages of our new £49 million emergency department and assessment centre which is due to open in 2019. This new build will encompass new ways of working, with the entire ground floor being dedicated to the new ED, creating single room facilities for the patients and expansion in all areas of ED. There will be an integrated radiology facility including CT scanner and ultrasound facilities dedicated to the diagnostic imaging of emergency patients. The upper floors will bring together a new partnership between medicine and surgical assessment units with a multi-disciplinary approach to the model of care which will enhance timely patient diagnosis and flow.
Our modern annualised rota system already allows for greater flexibility within the Consultant body and enables individuals to pursue sub-speciality/other interests whilst achieving maximum work-life balance. The current team of 13 substantive Consultants include those who are sub-specialised in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, ICM, Sports Medicine and research. We have a friendly and energetic team who are committed to each other in delivering high quality care and post/undergraduate teaching, including simulation.
