2 Consultant Neurologists – 10 PA’s

(One with a special interest in Epilepsy attached to Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy)

This is a unique opportunity for two new consultants to be appointed to develop the neurology department at Wexham Park into a modern service for the benefit of the local population.

Both posts have been designed with 7 Programmed Activities at Wexham Park Hospital with 3 PAs in a tertiary centre at the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy (only 8 miles from Wexham Park) and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.   One post requires a special interest in Epilepsy, and the other is open to candidate choice.

You will have continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge and for the proper functioning of the department with inpatient and outpatient commitments. You will undertake a share of the administrative duties associated with the care of your patients, the running of the neurology department and the directorate.  There is an on call commitment to be discussed with the tertiary centre and/or the local Stroke Thrombolysis rota on appointment.

The post will also involve teaching and supervision of medical students at tertiary centres and teaching programmes within Frimley Health Foundation Trust.
