Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire  - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.

You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.

As a Frimley Health Nurse, you can look forward to a career full of development opportunities, accessible management and the support from an excellent team of healthcare professionals – freeing up your time to concentrate on the most important priorities. Our Orthopaedic Ward gives you the chance to deliver care you can be proud of!

In this exciting, varied Junior Sister / Charge Nurse Role you will work closely with the Senior Sister to ensure the department is providing excellent standards of patient care and you will be committed to driving improvements for patient quality and experience. You will be actively involved in organising the patient flow in the department, whilst ensuring patient safety is at the forefront of all activities. You will be responsible for monitoring clinical levels of care and will have the opportunity to work on complex surgical cases.

You will work with the Senior Sister to guide and develop junior members of staff and be involved in administrative tasks such as recruitment so you will need strong organisational and time management skills. You will liaise with different departments and specialities over the transfer and discharge of patients and you will review staffing levels to ensure there is safe staffing at all times. You will be expected to manage the ward in the absence of the Senior Sister.

We welcome applications from Junior Sisters / Charges Nurses or experienced Staff Nurses looking to take the next step up in your career. You will be fully supported and developed by our practice development team, along with the Clinical Matron, to ensure you have all the skills required for the post. In addition you will have the opportunity to undertake specialist modules to further your knowledge in orthopaedics. You will be encouraged to grow your career and supported if you wish to progress into a management role, or if you wish to develop into a specialist role we have Trauma Co-ordinator, Practice Development or Nurse Advanced Practitioner roles in the department.

If you are looking for a role which gives you job variety, continuous support and encouragement, a variety of roles for you to grow your career and most importantly genuine job satisfaction then look no further! Apply today and grow your Orthopaedic Nursing career with Frimley Health.
