Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.
You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.
Interested in putting your Independent Prescribing skills into practice? Here at Frimley Health Pharmacist Prescribing is an expectation, not an ambition. If you’re not a prescriber, we’ll put you through the course.
This is an established role and we are looking for a motivated individual to develop this further. You will be working on the general surgical wards and lead a team of technicians and junior pharmacists. With an expectation of pharmacist prescribing from admission to discharge, the role is ideal for the clinically-orientated pharmacist.
You will be based at Wexham Park Hospital, part of the Frimley Health NHS Trust.
Frimley Health is a leading innovative NHS foundation Trust serving a population of over 800,000 people with a catchment area across six counties. The Trust has three main sites with Frimley Park Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital at Slough and Heatherwood Hospital at Ascot. It also runs diagnostic and outpatient services from Aldershot, Farnham, Fleet, Bracknell, Gerrards Cross, Maidenhead and Windsor.
The pharmacy team has merged into a single department, with a head count of around 200 members of staff.
You will be a suitably qualified hospital pharmacist with a good clinical background supported by a post graduate Clinical Diploma and an Independent Prescribing qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
