Frimley Health is a Trust where great care and great careers go hand in hand. We’re three hospitals working closely with each other and with the communities we serve in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire - our organisation has brought Heatherwood and Wexham hospitals into the fold of Frimley Park Hospital and its wider community services.
You’ll find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our locations and a friendly, supportive, open culture that brings everyone together. For our team it means a great day-to-day working experience – in a Trust with strong leadership, a clear sense of direction and an exciting vision for the future. The investment and changes ahead make this an exciting place to be. You can play your part in delivering exceptional patient care, while continuing to grow, develop and progress through first class learning and training.
We have exciting opportunities in Anaesthetics, Scrub and Recovery within our Theatres Departments so if you are an experienced or newly qualified Nurse or ODP or a final year student due to qualify, and are looking to develop and further your career then we would love to hear from you! The department covers a wide range of specialities including plastics, General surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, to name a few, and is a key deliver of Orthopaedics hip and Knee surgery in the region. We are looking for dynamic, innovative and highly motivated Registered Practitioners with a wide range of clinical skills to operationally support the surgical and Anaesthetics team. You will be expected to use your excellent clinical and evidenced based knowledge and skills to actively contribute to service development across the perioperative pathway, identifying opportunities and supporting individuals in the delivery of high quality patient care.
We offer the successful candidates full hospital induction and are committed to personal and professional development with the support of our dedicated practice development team. We encourage and support our staff to undertake the anaesthetic course, mentoring and first assistant programme. There are opportunities to undertake dual practice in two or more disciplines, along with rotations through all the specialties every 6-12 months until the full rotation is completed. For our Newly Qualified Practitioners we offer a 12 month bespoke preceptor-ship programme with 14 days protected study days designed to teach and develop our practitioners to the very highest standard. Additionally there is scope to rotate between the Wexham DGH main theatres suite if candidates have the appetite to further their learning in trauma and emergency care.
Heatherwood has an exciting future ahead of it – after being rated ‘GOOD’ by the recent CQC inspection – the next step is a fantastic brand new £72M hospital complex on the Heatherwood site, which includes a brand new state of the art six laminar flow theatres and Day Surgery unit.
We offer fantastic benefits including a £3,000 Golden hello and three months subsidised Trust Accommodation! Salary is negotiable with appropriate proven experience so there is every reason to come and join our dynamic thriving team.
Now really is the time to make Frimley Health your place to be!
